The Town of Neepawa, childhood home of Margaret Laurence and author of the “The Stone Angel” amongst numerous other works of Canadian literature, marks the northern boundary of the Neepawa Langford Trail. The Trans Canada trail makes use of the trail network within the town and along the Whitemud River Valley. Leaving Neepawa the trail heads south following rural roads that take you through some diverse scenery throughout Langford’s Hummerston Sandhills where a variety of wildlife and vegetation can be seen. The terrain varies greatly from intensely cultivated and irrigated potato fields to rolling pastures.

CAUTION:

When following roadways, trail users should always remain on the shoulder (may not be paved). It is recommended that you only use roadways during daylight hours and under appropriate weather conditions.
