Following the success of last year’s event, Trail Talks 2026 is heading north!

Hosted by Trails Manitoba, with support from our Sector Development Partner, Travel Manitoba, this year’s gathering will take place September 18-19, 2026, bringing Manitoba’s recreational trail community together for two days of learning, networking, collaboration and on-trail experiences.

Trail Talks is an opportunity for trail stewards, volunteers, organizations, communities, partners and outdoor champions from across Manitoba to connect, share knowledge and explore opportunities for the future of recreational trails in our province.

This year, we are especially excited to showcase the trails, communities and incredible landscapes of northern Manitoba.

Two Days of Trails, Learning & Connection

Friday, September 18 | Northern Trail Experiences

Participants will hit the road for a full day of guided trail experiences, visiting Clearwater Lake, Flin Flon and Cranberry Portage. The day will provide an opportunity to experience northern Manitoba’s trails firsthand, meet local trail champions and learn more about the work happening in these communities.

An evening networking event will follow.

Saturday, September 19 | Trail Talks Conference in The Pas

The main Trail Talks conference will take place in The Pas, featuring presentations, discussions and opportunities to exchange ideas with people working throughout Manitoba’s recreational trail sector.

Topics will explore the role trails play in our communities, their economic and social impact, lessons from trail projects across Manitoba, and opportunities for the future of our provincial trail network.

A second evening networking event will close out the Trail Talks experience.

The full Trail Talks 2026 agenda and additional event details (including event sponsors) will be posted closer to the event as they are finalized.

Trail Talks is more than a conference. It is an opportunity to bring together the people who build, maintain, promote, support and champion recreational trails across Manitoba.

By sharing experiences, learning from one another and experiencing trails firsthand, Trail Talks helps strengthen relationships across the sector and advance our shared vision of connecting everyone in Manitoba to trails.

We look forward to welcoming Manitoba’s trail community to the north for an unforgettable Trail Talks 2026.
